  2. The United States provided aid to the Latin American countries because they were afraid of communist expansion that would occur because of the poverty there. they supplied military aid to anti-communist regimes and encouraged multinational corporations. america's influence helped to keep latin america steady.

  4. the goal the U.S. was trying to achieve by providing aid to Latin American countries was to prevent the spread of communism to more countries. for this reason they supported unjust regimes which hurt the country but helped stop the spread of communism. they offered weapons, aide and anything else they needed.

  7. I think the US aiding Latin America was because the US wanted to stop the spread of communism reaching Latin America. Also i think that the US was trying to make allies with Latin American countries by aiding them in their time of need.

  8. The goal for the United States providing aid to Latin America was to stop Communism from expanding there. In poverty areas, it is easier for Communism to occur. Another reason is so we can be better allies with each other in case the United States ever needed Latin Americas help.

  9. The US provided aid to Latin American countries in order to prevent communism from spreading to them. This was a big concern because Latin America was so poor and vulnerable to communism. :)

  10. the goal was to prevent the spread of communism. Also in Latin America, they were lacking many resources and needed help just to stand up right. If the United States could do something about it.....why not? Also, if the United States did not provide aid, then communism might have corrupted the whole place and then communism would have taken over Latin America. In Latin America's time of need the U.S. helps out, then in the future Latin America could do something for us when we need help.

  21. As most have been saying, our primary goal for providing aid for Latin American countries was to ensure that they wouldn't fall to communism. We wanted to show them the way; how to lead the people; how to act smart militarily, etc.

  22. The goal of the U.S attempting to help Latin American countries was to help prevent communism from being spread. Even though the U.S knew their help was going to help some bad people with wrong morals, it would overall help stop comm. from being spread. I think the U.S also wanted to show the rest of the world that it was taking a leading role in the fight against communism.
